I thought that this was going to be a solid sci fi yarn. This is a horrible movie. I thought the ending was predictable but good, and it certainly warrants Life 2. With Jake Gyllenhaal, Rebecca Ferguson, Ryan Reynolds, Hiroyuki Sanada. However, there are too many inconsistencies. The acting was pretty good and it was good to see that Hiroyuki Sanada is really getting into mainstream movies now.

SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT....A great cast plus some great effects can`t disguise the fact-as has been stated in other reviews on here-that this film is basically Alien on the ISS....The simple thing is that the creature-and the situations-are simply not scary enough.Coupled with the fact that the CGI is very good but...it`s a CGI monster and as such never quite looks menacing/threatening enough...I presume the 15 certificate is due to the plethora of swear words bouncing around,it`s certainly not due to the blood/violence/pant staining scares-or lack of all three....The whole film never really has any verve/pace or excitement,it`s a shame as it COULD have been a cracker...After my first-and ONLY-viewing,i put it on Ebay…….That should say it all.
