This is crystal clear and you understand the vision with the parodied themes more and the animation that looked a little amateurish before now looks so crisp.This is probably the least obscure media I've seen on this sub. THE HAPPINESS OF THE KATAKURIS is the Japanese remake of the Korean black comedy, QUIET FAMILY, as filtered through director Miike's pitch-black sensibilities. Mick Garris, creator and executive producer of the series, described the episode as "amazing, but hard even for me to watch... definitely the most disturbing film I've ever seen"Imprint was fantastic although Cigarette Burns and Jenifer are probably still my favorites. The description fails to mention that much of the "special effects" are done via Claymation.This is a really fun little movie. Very fun watch.I torrented this cus the name looked interesting, I was not expecting that intro... Good film though, batshit insane.I saw this in the theater during its initial release. This and Gozu are his masterpieces.Gozu is my favorite Miike.
