Purchased this sci-fi movie as I do all sci-fis, knowing that ratings from the producer or individuals will surely vary with my own opinion, but I found this movie very good, not ridiculously shallow or childish, respectible special effects and certainly an acceptible level of acting quality.

A beautiful and heart aching story of two broken people that fate brings together. Bought to test our 3d bluray player. The Darkest Hour is a movie which came and went without fanfare or much notice. Firestar is the cat depicted on the reprinted cover. It's a bit of a downer when we find out the aliens are after copper and iron, which can be found much more easily in space, but hey, they gotta be here for something, and at least it's not water . Thus, what I am saying is this: enjoy the craft of actors as they bring to life a completely imaginary world very convincingly. The 3D was helpful to the story but it wasn't well utilized and that could have really bumped this up to the next tier if it added significant value to the film.
