Not sure what I did wrong though...this recipe made 22 empanadas with enough left for a few more but I didn't have more filling.

This recipe is the absolute best. I will definitely try it with apple pie! I made 8 fairly large empanadas last night.

I didn't make the filling, in fact I had leftover chicken from the "Red Wine Braised Chicken with Chorizo and Chickpeas" recipe, so I diced up four thighs and used that as a starting point for my own filling. Great recipe. made 17 mini empanadas and the crust was oh so flaky. Did I miss something?

This is a really weird dough recipe. I used Vodka in place of vinegar and the results were great.This was pretty good.
