Pour son premier film en tant que réalisateur Keanu Reeves s'attaque à un univers qu'il connait bien celui des arts martiaux pour cela il s'entoure des personnes avec qui il a collaboré dans Matrix comme Yuen Woo-ping et Tiger Chen qui ici tient le rôle titre avec ça aucun problème pour les scènes de combats qui sont très bien réalisées même si ça voltige un peu trop par moment pour le reste j'ai plus de réserve le scénario sert plus de prétexte à un enchaînement de combat même si franchement c'est pas gênant mais j'aurais bien aimé une vraie histoire derrière.
