I'm really glad this book won the poll as I hadn't read it before. Poirot, even though he has stopped growing vegetable marrows(see Another Christie reread. I won't go as far as saying she's the best writer in the history of the world, but she's a master of her genre and I always enjoy her books.

It was wonderful to read it along with the audio.This one was very enjoyable. Overall an average readHercule Poirot meets a young girl,whose life is in danger.Multiple attempts have been made to kill her,with the latest one leaving a bullet hole in her hat.Poirot's protective instincts are aroused.But,someone does get murdered.An interesting enough mystery,but the identity of the killer,didn't really surprise me.Bless my library and its sporadically reliable audiobook collection. Eventually, the truth comes to light but not before a number of red herrings.
